Privacy at attn.ca

Attn uses your pastebin.ca account to send personal notifications to destinations you pair and verify. This page explains how Attn handles those notifications. The pastebin.ca privacy policy describes the shared account service.

What Attn stores

  • Your account identifier and notification settings, including Do Not Disturb and history preferences.
  • Paired destination details: Telegram chat identifiers, browser push subscriptions, or verified phone numbers for SMS.
  • Notification titles, bodies and deduplication keys, together with delivery status, timestamps and API-key attribution.
  • SMS credit and payment references used for billing and reconciliation.

Who receives a notification

Attn processes message content to deliver your alerts. Telegram receives the chat identifier and message text. Web Push sends an encrypted notification payload through your browser’s push service. For a paired SMS destination, Telnyx, the SMS provider, receives the phone number and message text.

Cloudflare provides the hosting, storage, queues and request infrastructure. Attn records request and delivery diagnostics to operate the service. When you buy SMS credit, Stripe processes checkout and Attn retains deposit and credit-ledger references.

Manage your notification history

The default message-history setting is 90 days. In the dashboard’s Activity tab, you can choose 7, 30, 90, 365 days or use Delete settled history.

History cleanup clears the title, body and deduplication key after delivery has settled. Delivery records, timestamps, API-key attribution and SMS billing metadata remain for diagnostics and reconciliation. Queued or in-flight notifications keep their content for delivery; you can delete that content once they settle.

Stop using Attn

Delete your settled notification history, remove your paired channels and revoke your API keys from the dashboard. Deleting a pastebin.ca account does not currently send Attn an automatic deletion event, so complete these Attn steps first.
