This request needs authorization unauthorized The site could not find a valid account session or API token for this request. The API token is not valid invalid_token An API token was sent, but it could not be accepted for this site. The API sign-in proof could not be verified invalid_dpop_proof The site could not verify the extra sender proof attached to an API request. This token cannot do that insufficient_scope You are signed in, but the token or session does not include permission for this action. Use the signed-in dashboard for this action forbidden The request is authenticated, but this attn action is only allowed from the right account surface. Open attn.ca directly and try again bad_origin attn blocked a browser request because it did not come from the attn.ca origin.

Sending a ping

This account cannot send notifications account_banned The signed-in account is restricted from sending attn notifications right now. Slow down notification sends rate_limited Your account sent too many attn notifications in a short time. Add a title or body empty_notification attn needs at least a title or a body before it can send a notification. Pair and verify a destination first no_verified_channels Your account has no verified Telegram chat or browser destination to receive this ping. Daily notification quota reached daily_quota_exceeded This account has used its daily attn notification allowance.

Choose an attn API key scope invalid_scope The requested API key scopes are not valid for attn.ca. Revoke an old attn key first too_many_keys Your account has reached the API key limit for attn.ca. Key management is temporarily unavailable unavailable attn could not reach a required account or key-management service.

Request format and limits

The request could not be read invalid_json The site could not understand the JSON sent by the browser, app, or tool. The request is missing required details invalid_request The site received a request, but some required fields were missing or invalid. The upload was too large request_too_large The request was bigger than this site can accept in one attempt. That action is not available here method_not_allowed The request used a method this route does not accept.

Destinations & pairing

Too many destinations are paired channel_limit Your account has reached the limit for paired Telegram and browser destinations. Telegram pairing is temporarily unavailable telegram_not_configured attn cannot start or send Telegram messages because the Telegram bot is not available. Browser push subscription was not accepted invalid_subscription The browser did not send a usable Web Push subscription to attn. Browser notifications are temporarily unavailable webpush_not_configured attn cannot register or deliver browser push notifications until Web Push is configured.

Choose a valid Do Not Disturb duration invalid_minutes The Do Not Disturb request did not include a positive number of minutes.

SMS & credit

Enter a valid phone number invalid_phone attn could not read the value you sent as a phone number. SMS is US/Canada only for now sms_unsupported_region During the SMS preview, attn can only verify and send to +1 (US/Canada) mobile numbers. That SMS code did not match sms_verification_failed The verification code was wrong, already used, or expired. Out of SMS credit insufficient_credit An SMS notification could not be sent because your account has no SMS credit left. Other channels still deliver. SMS is temporarily unavailable sms_not_configured attn cannot verify or send SMS because the SMS provider is not configured in this environment. Card deposits are temporarily unavailable stripe_not_configured attn cannot start a card deposit because the payment provider (Stripe) is not configured in this environment.
